The Sahara and Sahel Observatory places water not simply as a resource, but as a cornerstone of resilience within its 2030 Strategy. Ensuring water and food security in a changing climate requires dialogue, cooperation, and shared management across the borders.
Guided by this conviction, the OSS aligns its work with the 2018–2030 AMCOW Strategy and builds on its long-standing partnership with ANBO, as well as with basin authorities and agencies throughout the region. These alliances provide a common framework to translate commitments into action and to strengthen regional solidarity in water governance.
This vision is about meeting the daily needs of the communities, safeguarding ecosystems, and making sure that future generations inherit water resources that are managed responsibly, equitably, and sustainably.
