Strengthening resilience to climate change
In the face of the climate emergency, the OSS stands as a key player in supporting adaptation, mitigating impacts, and enhancing the resilience of both people and ecosystems. As an accredited entity to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund, it assists its member countries in designing, financing, and implementing innovative and impactful climate projects. It also contributes to the development and monitoring of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), while promoting risk management mechanisms, early warning systems, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
The OSS actions are fully aligned with the Paris Agreement, the UNFCCC, and major African and international agendas, working towards an ambitious, inclusive, and locally rooted climate response.
