The OSS shared its experience as an accredited entity with the GCF and the AF and highlighted the importance of adopting the bottom-up approach in the development of projects in order to take into account the true needs of the populations. It also emphasized the role of national institutions in the ownership, the sustainability and the replication of the projects/achievements.
It is necessary for the countries that do not have a national accredited entity to benefit from easier access to the Adaptation Fund and a simplified approval process.
Africa needs more resources to face climate challenges.
