Two OSS remote sensing experts took part in the training workshop on “the use of MISBAR and MISLAND platforms for environmental monitoring” which took place on October 21-22, 2021 in Nouakchott, Mauritania for the benefit of experts and technical staff from the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development.
This training aims to strengthen the use of geo-services and promote their integration in decision-making for the sustainable management of natural resources.
The workshop also enabled the development of concrete case studies on the use of MISBAR and MISLAND for forest fire monitoring and interpretation of trends in vegetation cover loss / gain.
The participants took their presence to share their experiences and express recommendations to adapt the results to the expressed needs, which will undoubtedly improve products and services and ensure better ownership and improved use of the platforms.
We reiterate our appreciation to our partner in Mauritania for all the facilities granted and for having enriched the discussions and exchanges during the workshop.
