Following the English-speaking session held on February 25, 2026, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS), the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD), and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) convened a second webinar on February 26, 2026, dedicated to French-speaking countries.
The event aimed to build the capacities of national stakeholders in preparation for the 2026 Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) reporting cycle. It brought together experts from 24 countries, providing them with practical guidance on technical and methodological tools, updates, timelines, and technical requirements related to the submission of national reports.
The webinar also fostered experience-sharing among participating countries and helped structure the technical support required for effective LDN monitoring at national and regional levels, thereby reinforcing collective efforts toward sustainable land management.
