National Desertif’actions workshop of Tunisia, Djerba - March 9 -10, 2022

The Desertif'actions 2022 dynamic, initiated by the Centre for Actions and International Achievements (CARI) and led jointly with the OSS and the UNCCD, aims to make agroecology a core element of the agenda on the Fight Against Desertification and Land Degradation, by sharing and pooling the results of actions carried out by civil society organizations and their partners. This 5th edition will cover the year 2022 and will follow a multi-step process.

In this context, a national workshop on "agroecology and climate resilience in southern Tunisia" was organized by the Citizenship and Sustainable Development Association (ACDD) on March 9 -10, 2022 in Djerba (Tunisia). Its aimed to promote exchanges between civil society stakeholders on ecosystem restoration and climate change in the arid and vulnerable areas of southern Tunisia.

The OSS took part in the workshop and led several working sessions to highlight the recommendations and key messages to raise during the 15th Conference of the Parties of the Desertification Convention due on May 2022.
