An OSS/CIHEAM-IAMM partnership for scientific cooperation, Tunis, March 5, 2025

Mr. Nabil Ben Khatra, Executive Secretary of the OSS and the representatives of the technical departments, received Mr. Thierry Dupeuble, Director of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier (CIHEAM-IAMM), for the conclusion of a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

This strategic agreement that came to light at the OSS headquarters in Tunis, marks a new stage in the collaboration between both actors for sustainable development in Africa and the Mediterranean. It paves the way for action aimed at providing concrete and innovative solutions to major environmental and agricultural challenges, particularly in terms of natural resources management, sustainable agriculture and adaptation to climate change.

The cooperation will focus on capacity building, exchange of experiences, joint organization of scientific events, production and dissemination of knowledge and supervision of interns. This partnership thus lays the foundation for increased mobilization of knowledge and resources for the development of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Through this agreement, the OSS and CIHEAM-IAMM reaffirm their commitment to strengthening synergies between their scientific and technical programs on the management of natural resources, food security, and strengthening the resilience of the populations and ecosystems.
