UNCCD Reporting Support

This initiative is part of the UNCCD's support for countries that are Parties to the Convention, with a view to achieving and sustaining their global environmental protection objectives. The reporting system, which is essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), makes it possible to monitor progress, identify gaps and guide strategic decision-making on the basis of reliable, up-to-date data.

It also contributes to international commitments to preserve terrestrial ecosystems and aims to increase mastery of GIS tools for the accurate assessment of indicators and the use of geospatial data.
