The Sahara and Sahel Observatory took the celebration of its 30th anniversary and the International Conference, to release its documentary book : African ecosystems between degradation and restoration. A book that comes as the accomplishment of a work of research, prospecting and summary of data and information relating to ecosystems of Africa. It identifies the economic, social and environmental interests of biodiversity and their impact on the collective consciousness.
This book addresses the potentials, issues and challenges of the African natural ecosystems. It also highlights their degradation and proposes the techniques and practices of their restoration.
It is a comprehensive work that provides the relevant stakeholders and decision-makers with an up-to-date reference, in order to properly think of appropriate measures for the conservation and restoration of ecosystems, at the local, national and regional scales.
