Consolidating the capacities of the Eritrean National Designated Authority is a priority through the establishment of a permanent secretariat, the creation of a coordination mechanism and the adoption of no-objection procedures, all these are essential elements to ensure stronger organization and more effective management of climate finance.

On this basis, the development of a country programme for the Green Climate Fund, the preparation of project proposals aligned with national priorities and the strengthening of national entities’ capacities are envisaged, in order to meet the accreditation requirements and secure access to GCF resources.

Together, these actions contribute to the establishment of a solid institutional and operational framework that can sustainably mobilize climate finance and support national ambitions for resilience and sustainable development.
