OSS-AUC exchanges on technical, administrative and financial aspects
After the launch workshop for the second phase of the GMES&Africa program, which took place from March 14 to 18, 2022 in Cotonou - Benin, the kick-off will be marked by meetings organized by the African Union Commission with the project management teams at consortia sites.
Indeed, an AUC delegation visited the OSS, on March 21-22, 2022, in order to discuss, during exchange and presentation of the new objectives and expectations meetings, the technical, administrative and financial aspects of this phase as well as avenues for promoting the achievements of the project first phase.
The main objective of the meetings was to reach the same level of understanding between the project teams, the stakeholders and the PMU. They also made it possible to strengthen the ties for collaboration between the stakeholders, to seek the adequate tools for overcoming the difficulties of the first phase and to establish common objectives for the success of the project.
During these meetings, the roles and responsibilities of all key players and the complementarity between the two phases of the project were pointed out. Informal, interactive and dynamic discussions, supported by short presentations supplemented the exchanges.
It is worth noting that the regional launch workshop for the GMES second phase in North Africa, will be held from March 29 to 30, 2022, in Hammamet – Tunisia, and will bring together the North African partners of the Consortium involved in this phase.
