The book was developed as part of the REPSAHEL project with the collaboration of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Mauritania.
It focuses on this collaboration outcomes in terms of environmental monitoring and the development of the Mauritania land cover map at 1/200,000.
This product comes after the first experience that the OSS had in Mali, with the support of the World Bank, under the ILWAC project.

The ROSELT/OSS network and the National Environmental Monitoring Systems – NEMS, made the Organization play a leading role in environmental monitoring.
